Is it necessary to replace the collection of TL 866II adapters to upgrade to T56, or are they compatible?

Hello,            As a user .... The T56 is pin to pin driven, then, most aren't directly compatible, but a few aren't needed at all.
All that are pin to pin, most probably yes. As no complete adapter list available, do yourself a test not connecting the
programmer , using latest app, select one IC that you often program, and press display 'device info', bottom left, on both T56
and TL866II modes (you may need to restart application to swap programmers).
Exceptions: Some PLCCxx adapters, not pin to pin, like plcc32 to dip28, can be used, but to program them you have to select the IC version DIP ,
not the PLCCxx as it have less pins , and of course not matching the 'device info' information.
To avoid confusions what I've done myself?
Start here XGECU Official Store - Pequenas Encomendas Online Store, Hot Selling e mais em AliExpress   looking for adapters and buy most here.
As the T56 is an extraordinary must have tool, and it's a massive ongoing project, prepare yourself if possible, building a list of most probably ICs to program, and test if they already are supported, to give time to engineers to add support ( usually is a one month update time), after you ask here in the forum, correct thread.
Hope not confusing you.
