Please help me program one ATMEL ATF16V8B-15JU

yes, it's a PLCC20 package with an adapter.Every time I program, it stops at the verification stage.
And if I remove the verification the program finishes but when I try to read, nothing was programmed.

Is there anything I'm missing to program these chips (PAL/GAL)?

Or is it a firmware bug identified to program these GAL chips ?
If that is the case what firmware do you recommend me to use?

TL866II Plus
11.6 firmware (the latest one)

you can try untick encrypt chip then do program again. encrypted chip can not be verify, readback return all 00 or ff.

Followed the suggestion to untick encrypt chip before programming, but the error continues

Tried with several chips and the error persisted for all 10 chips purchased

Purchased 10 more chips but now ATF16V8B-10JU  (10ns instead of 15ns)
and I was able to program with no errors
Also purchased 3 new ATF16V8BQL-15JU and also was programed without errors
Programmed also one ATF22V10C-10JU without any errors

Read all the 10 chips ATF16V8B-15JU and they show FF FF FF ...
Are they already programmed ???
If that is the case I need to complain  :(

I think may be we have bug in program or may be you bought some fake chips. Have you try to solder that chip (programed without verify) to the pcb board to check if it working or  not.

When the chip was read protection  locked , it can not be unlock , can not be read and verified, only be erased.
