@admin,
actually, I think there is a need for making a short sub-page that explains and shows in photos, which adapters go for older and newer model.

Please take a look.
There are a lot of adapters, some have part number, like ADP-005. Some have a designation only, like SOP8-16 -> DIP16.
Example 1:
ADP-005 vs ADP-006
both are PLCC32, one is DIP32 and looks like it doesn't have 1:1 pin correspondence.
Second one is DIP28 and it's only for 27C series IC.
From what I understand, ADP-006 is not needed for T56 programmer as 27C series are handled by a simple adapter.
Does ADP-005 work? I don't know, as it's not pin1-pin1 adapter.
I have to check on aliexpress or in programmer GUI.
Example 2:
I have 6 SOP/SO/SOIC adapters and SSOP8. Now I have to somehow verify whether they are still valid and they don't have ANY names or part numbers to identify.
Example 3:
I have a set of TSOP/SOP adapters with intermediate boards separate for NAND, 8 and 16 bits TSOP40, for TSOP32 etc.
From what I understand, absolutely none on these intermediate boards will be needed (SN001-*). But that's just my assumption that all chips supported on those intermediate boards will now interface programmer directly via 56pin test socket.
Really, a simple designation map would be great here.
Something like
--
TL866 support list
(...)
TSOP48 / NAND: NAND08 + SN003
--
T56 support list
(...)
TSOP48 / ALL: SN-ADP-056-0.5
Or the other way around, i.e.
T56:
SN-ADP-056-0.5 supports: [packages]
--
TL866*:
NAND08: a base to mount following adapters: [SN001-5(TSOP32/40/48 solder), SN003(test socket TSOP48), ...]
(...)
SN001-5: solder base for TSOP32, TSOP40, TSOP48.
With such a list, customer could simply search (ctrl+F / grep) through list and see what adapter or combination is needed to connect specific packages and IC types to programmer.
It would also solve my problem, where I have TL866ii+ and I don't know which adapters should I keep.
I will spend a lot of time figuring it out :(
[ EDIT ]
** PLCC28-DIP24-ADP-048 (no use for T56)
** PLCC32-DIP28-ADP006 (no use for T56)
How do I connect PLCC28 and PLCC32 to T56 programmer?
I guess that
PLCC32 to DIP32
PLCC20 to DIP20
are OK for T56? |
