Adapters confusion

Hi,I got tired of searching for information in programmers and adapters. There's nothing on the webpage or really anywhere on the Internet.
I have TL866 II plus and handful of adapters:
https://imageupload.io/i/3i0nalbfZE
I need to upgrade to T56.
There is no list of adapters for TL866.
There is no list of adapters for T56.
There is no map for adapters, that would tell which adapter works directly with programmer, which require intermediate adapter and what kind of it.
I have adapters but I don't know which one will work with T56 and whether there are better options that will connect some ICs better, i.e. with smaller number of adapters.
I honestly have no idea, which adapters should I sell together with old programmer and which to buy.
Actually, I don't even know what is available for T56.
Why there's no comprehensive list of accessories? :(

Hello, I had same problem, but found a temporary solution, because market isn't the way we see it, but user oriented instead. If you try to find something to start, start at XGECU site in ALIexpress global site,
as i found my local one is a bit different....as a reference:
XGECU Official Store - Amazing prodcuts with exclusive discounts on AliExpress
Found the T56 adapters at
adapters for T56 - Shop Cheap adapters for T56 from China adapters for T56 Suppliers at XGECU Official Store on Aliexpress.com
Anyway, they don't offer a complete set, but small parts of it. I've ordered all adapters from there.
Anyway, some missing, and if you need some, to be sure they work, after installing the 11.30 version software,
searching for a a usual IC, or the IC adapter format, pressing device info tab, you can see it.
Some you can see it better, if pressing 'read' and then 'view adapter' pinout, this work offline, even without programmer.
Download Newest XGecu T56/TL866II software(下载最新软件) - 编程器使用与软件下载 - XGecu Programmer Forums - Powered by Discuz!
Most adapters from old machines are 40 or less pins, them most will be compatible, some don't...(looking in the diagram)
As an example, PLCC44 have 44 pins with T56, but is in the page, as a set ...if you already have the most of other PLCC adapters, try to contact them and order it separately.
As T56 still is growing chip support, most are sold in the Xgecu shop or other Shops, but some you can get now only from other dealers, like the QFN32 4x4 0.4 and 5x5 0.5...no big deal for me here.

Also you can add your own ICs not in the database, the the work is there for many already, my actual challenge, or request to add it, and hopefully wait to be supported, as 100s more every month or so

Hope it helps you, somehow :-)    ( not trying confusing more, neither what i've expected, but it works )

Thank you!
I will try to sort it out that way.
It still bugs me. Manufacturer should take care of product portfolio, so customers would know what they can actually buy.
XGecu representatives, are you here?

Hello again,                 If no answer here, try contact at AliExpress, or other shops,
or haikou xingong electronics co., ltd (xgecu.com).
Also be carefull, and look for adapters updates, not all sellers have the BGA adapters, for instance,
with all size adapter set, and some have a certain adapter with solder only, but it exists in Xgecu site
in Aliexpress, with ZIP (or alike) , example  the SOP56. Look the list below, as a start (or not)  :-)

I was going through software menu, setting chips in various packages and view required adapters.
** PLCC28-DIP24-ADP-048

That one I have but software asks for PLCC28-DIP28, which seems not to exist ;)

XGecu should really sort it out and put in on the webpage, I'm using a lot of time to check what I don't need anymore and what I should buy instead.

Anyway, I think I'll sort it out finally, thank you again!

For T56, the chip adapters below 56 pins is just a universal connector which is PIN1 to PIN1 .
So there is no need to list.  In the software, there are connection diagrams of all chips.

All Chips in the same package  use one same  adapter.
The diagram should be clear, and it is easy for you to do it yourself.

    ALL 8 to 28PIN package:
    T56S8T28.jpg

   PLLC28 to DIP28
T56PLCC28.jpg

    TSOP32/TSOP40/TSOP48   for all ICs

     TSOP32/TSOP40/TSOP48/TSOP56 for all ICs

Dear Admin, Thank you! Anyway, alerted the XGECU store in AliExpress that sell the PLCC set for T56,without being 'in Sync' with software:

** PLCC28-DIP24-ADP-048 (no use for T56) .... PLCC28 to DIP28 missing (pin 28 is VCC)
** PLCC32-DIP28-ADP006  (no use for T56) .... This is included, a useless adapter for T56 :-(

We need a list of adapters, the very same way you publish the supported devices...

Best Regards

@admin,

actually, I think there is a need for making a short sub-page that explains and shows in photos, which adapters go for older and newer model.

https://imageupload.io/i/3i0nalbfZE

Please take a look.

There are a lot of adapters, some have part number, like ADP-005. Some have a designation only, like SOP8-16 -> DIP16.

Example 1:
ADP-005 vs ADP-006
both are PLCC32, one is DIP32 and looks like it doesn't have 1:1 pin correspondence.
Second one is DIP28 and it's only for 27C series IC.
From what I understand, ADP-006 is not needed for T56 programmer as 27C series are handled by a simple adapter.
Does ADP-005 work? I don't know, as it's not pin1-pin1 adapter.
I have to check on aliexpress or in programmer GUI.

Example 2:
I have 6 SOP/SO/SOIC adapters and SSOP8. Now I have to somehow verify whether they are still valid and they don't have ANY names or part numbers to identify.

Example 3:
I have a set of TSOP/SOP adapters with intermediate boards separate for NAND, 8 and 16 bits TSOP40, for TSOP32 etc.
From what I understand, absolutely none on these intermediate boards will be needed (SN001-*). But that's just my assumption that all chips supported on those intermediate boards will now interface programmer directly via 56pin test socket.

Really, a simple designation map would be great here.
Something like
--
TL866 support list
(...)
TSOP48 / NAND: NAND08 + SN003
--
T56 support list
(...)

TSOP48 / ALL: SN-ADP-056-0.5

Or the other way around, i.e.
T56:
SN-ADP-056-0.5 supports: [packages]
--
TL866*:
NAND08: a base to mount following adapters: [SN001-5(TSOP32/40/48 solder), SN003(test socket TSOP48), ...]
(...)
SN001-5: solder base for TSOP32, TSOP40, TSOP48.

With such a list, customer could simply search (ctrl+F / grep) through list and see what adapter or combination is needed to connect specific packages and IC types to programmer.
It would also solve my problem, where I have TL866ii+ and I don't know which adapters should I keep.
I will spend a lot of time figuring it out :(

[ EDIT ]
** PLCC28-DIP24-ADP-048 (no use for T56)
** PLCC32-DIP28-ADP006 (no use for T56)

How do I connect PLCC28 and PLCC32 to T56 programmer?

I guess that
PLCC32 to DIP32
PLCC20 to DIP20
are OK for T56?

I've received an answer for using old PLCCxx adapters on T56.
As ICs are sold in two packages DIP and PLCCxx , to use the 'short number pin'

version of PLCC/DIP adapter, select the chip not PLCCxx, but the same

reference, but DIPxx, and connect it to T56, the very same way as it shows in

the image as DIP.

New adapters will become available soon, for any other situations that do not follow this rule.

NICE! Less confusion. :)

Hi,I now temporarily have both, TL866II plus and T56.
My understanding is as follow.

These adapters will work with T56:
PLCC20-DIP20
PLCC32-DIP32
SOP28-DIP28
SOP20-DIP20
SOP20(8pin)-DIP8
SOP16(8pin)-DIP8
SSOP28(8pin)-DIP8
+all soldered adapters

These adapter will not really work with T56 or it's pointless:
PLCC44-DIP40
PLCC28-DIP24
PLCC32-DIP28
SOP44 and TSOP48 together with SN001-* intermediate boards

These adapters are for T56:
PLCC32-DIP32
PLCC44-DIP44
SOP44-DIP44
TSOP56-DIP48+cable

If I understand correctly, this adapter is the only one missing:
PLCC28-DIP28

When can we expect new adapters?
