it maybe bad PLCC32 adapter.
DIP32 is same as PLCC32
I tested a DIP32 is normal. 20 05 is a device ID，　may be your PIN A9 connect with VPP.note:
the adatper:   PLCC32 to DIP32   not PLCC32 to DIP28

Test made with 3 different adapters. Everyone has the same error. I don't think it's the adapter. It is softwere. I have the old minipro in version 6.71 and read on the 3 adapters 100%. However, if I use version 6.85 in the old one, it also gives an error. it only works 100% in version 6.71.

I got three M27C1001  and Tested,  Reading and Writting all are Normal.
I'm sure The software is no problem.

I've tested everything here and don't read. I have the old minipro it reads beauty. I have the rt809h it reads beauty. However the xgecu minipro plus does not read.problem solved after several tests. really hardwere problem. Leaked transistor. Keeping pin 34 high at all times.

How to solve this problem? I can't use an old version of software because when I running the 6.71 version of software they show error message like this. The current application software verion is too old  and not available. Please download the new  application software.
I'm using TL866A programmer.
